What do you guys think about the new Nokia 7380?
I am considering to get one for my self but I heard it's a waste of money.
Does any of you know anyone with the phone? |

its not particuarly new, but its a damn cool phone. i had the 7280 for ages and it was just great for putting in your pockets..
the 7380 is just that little bit too feminie though...
i still want one though!

i dont't have a Nokia 7380 but i can give you some tips,first of all the Nokia 7380 is a fashion phone,designed mainly for women,so in case you are a man i would advise you to reconsider.Second the phone has an unusual shape thus no keyboard,i had a little time to play with it's ancestor whitch was the same shape and believe me scrolling for each letter and number eventually drives you crazy.Now for the tech part,i'll make a list:
>very unusual display,so maybe many java programs won't work
>no card slot,only 52 megs---not too much space for the 2mp photos and other stuff like songs
>no 3g,WLan,Infrared
>no games on it (again what i said with the screen size)
>no autofocus on camera
>no mp4 player
>very weak battery
Now this were the cons,i wont make a pro's list because it is not worth it,my advice is to get something else that this,this is a phone designed for women,to carry in their purse,take it out,apply lipstick (that's why it has mirror surface) and show of to their friends: "look my phone has a 2mp camera" ... "Wow great!(i wonder what that means)".So you'd better get another phone instead of this one,this is a classic nokia overpriced phone,they want to much for something that the phone doesn't have.
Second,if you're a woman who doesn't care what are the phone's capabilities and you like how it looks and you are willing to learn to use it only with the scroll wheel then you can go on and buy it.
Third,if you're a woman who wants a phone with lots of features then my advice is to look for another phone.
Fourth,if you're a gay man (no offence,just want to write all of the possibilities) then you could probably buy this phone if you like the looks,if you want a phone that is smart then also reconsider.
Fifth,if you are a transsexual then read higher and see in which woman category you fit in.

@fatreg yes and not,it is harder to dial numbers with that wheel thingy,unless you have them in your address book

Well the 7380 has got the WOW  factor going for it. It's a LOOK AT ME phone. Anyways, it isn't designed to be practical anyway, it's a fashion phone anyway...
