I have a k800i i bought it on o2 had it debranded to normal uk version and now using my 3 uk pay monthly sim inside it.

i only use my phone for the basic making voice calls and texts no video calls or downloads etc.

i have noticed there is a network option in the settings where you can seletect GSM & 3G or GSM ONLY, what difference would it make if i selected gsm only ? would it make any difference for making and receiving voice calls and texts? or charge me any differently?

as i do not need any othere 3g features it would save me alot of battery...can someone please shed some light on this for me...

many thanks.

Sorry, i dont know about your question, but why does using 3G consume more battery?

3G uses more power so will the battery wont last as long

If your not going to make video calls or want to download at higher speed then just use GSM
