Are SE the creator of this form factor? If yes, then how can nokia just go and copy it?

Moto had one before that, although I am not sure when the Japanese SO505i appeared.

EDIT: April 2003 or thereabouts.

EDIT The Moto swivel was announced 6th Feb 2003.

Yep - the V70 came out in 2002 so I think it was the first swivel

Motorola did it first, but SE has done the most with the swivel form factor, as in making it more mass market.

Guess it (swivel) was too abstract a thing for ny1 to 'Patent' or the likes.. Thou I think Mobike Silencer sounds have been Patented Or am mistaken? #
As for the Swivel, Iav in much recent times since my S700 purchase, played with even a wierd LG cdma swivel one.. Chaebols.. Koreans are everywhere, Pantech got some up its sleeve.. Chalta Hai..

i am pretty sure it was motorola. They released the V180 with the swivel.
