Does anybody know if this phone has this?

I know it does support a2dp, but i want my pioneer deh 9800 which supports avrcp (audio and video remote control profile) to be able to control the tunes on my phone as well as stream the music from it

Thanks

thank you very much

What would you say the best way of connecting the two things together is?

I mean the stereo can search for bluetooth devices, or you can have the stereo be ready to accept a new device if you use the phone to do the searching.

Am I right in thinking that the a2dp profile options will become avaliable when I have got the two devices connected together and each ones knows the others capabilites?

Thanks for any info.

with the A2DP headset I already tried with the K800, the setup was no different than pairing a normal BT headset and straming music started as soon as I pressed play in the music player

so I assume its transparant and the devices just pick the required profile autoatically

edit: btw, I tend to let the phone initiate the pairing

Right installed everything

Bluetooth handsfree works perfectly with my new head unit car.

Can leave my phone in my pocket and they connect perfectly together for phone calls.

However, the A2do and the remote control thing

I put the headunit into BT Audio mode. The phone then connects, the options of controlling it appear (such as play, pause, stop, disconnect)

I press play, the play icon on my phone comes up at the top (next to the 3g symbol) but then the phone and the pioneer headunit disconnect, the phone displays "continue playing sound using phone speaker" and then thats it?

I really cant understand it. The technology is connecting, everything should work. Only thing i can possibly think of is that the Pioneer cant cope with the fact the phone is connected to it both as its handsfree telephone, and as the bluetooth audio device.

Or it might be the phone?

Sony are bringing out a head unit called the BT5000, and the press release specifically talks about the fact hands free and a mobile phone which supports a2dp can be used seamlessly with it.

Maybe the pioneer isnt as capable as the sony one? Pioneer are closed until monday though, anyone got any suggestions

Fixed it

Its definatly something to do with the fact the pioneer isnt as new as the sony model due out soon.

It dosent cope well with the fact the mobile phone is both the handsfree and the bluetooth audio transmitter.

Both things work seperatly, but not well together. I did instal the audio part first and then the phone bit after to see if it was better, and it was.

However the system gets a bit confused in certain situations. For instance, your listening to music via the phone broadcasting it to the stereo. Someone rings your phone, the system does not seamlessly stop the music and then allow you to accpet the handsfree call through the stereo. This is something i am sure the sony will cope well with because they have designed the audio steaming on the basis it may well be coming from a phone that is also the handsfree part of the operation.
