I am finally accepting the fact that I need to get a new phone. My p800 has served me well for 3 yrs now but, as reluctant as I am to change, it is time.

I have been so happy with the P800 that I have not kept up on the new phones and now that I need one I am clueless regarding whats available. I would like to have something that is comparable to the P800s features and capabilities if there is a phone like that available now. I would like it to be a SE phone but if there is something else out there that is better I would also consider that. I live in the US and have T-Mobile service and they are pretty cooperative about using phones that they don't support.

Thank you in advance to all who may respond.

Sshhamie

I'd definately get a p990 if I were you (see the current esato discussion on the p990 here: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=105886 ).

As you missed out on the p900 and the p910, you'll be in for a (pleasant) surprise. Major advances...

EDIT: Here's the Sonyericsson official specs page: http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]1_1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp1&pid=10336

M600, W950 or the P990 would suit your needs. I'd go for the W950 just for the 4gb flash memory but that's just me.

@shame - Yes, truly it will be the P990 for you here . . . but if you want to have a change of heart . . . the K800 is a nice one dude, but has different features compared to the PDA type. Good Luck ! [addsig]

You'll have to wait till christmas for the P990a thou. Is not out yet and will certainly have buggy software and be extremly expensive in the first few months. Look at something als for now :) Greetings from South Africa. Mario

Basically in SE phones if you want a P800 replacement you'd be looking at the P990 as the only alternative if you want a smart phone AND camera. However if camera is not on your list then you can get the M600 or W950, both ideal P800,900,910 replacements unless you need a camera.

If you want to keep the onboard camera and touch screen, but can't wait for the P990, then your only option is the P910, which only has a vga camera (same as P800), but does have up to 2GB memory expansion capacity for your mp3s/movies.

Thank you all so much for the replies. I now know where to start. I am not sure if I can hold out until December so I will look into the others that were suggested. Thanks again.
