After connecting my k800i to the computer via USB, it seems that all the programs and games have been deleted!!
Has this happened to anyone alse?
Is there anywhere/anyone that has them to replace?
Help would be appreciated.

Never had it happen and cant see how it just deleted them. You sure you never accidentally formatted folders or something?
There is a program I use called smart data recovery http://www.smartpctools.com/data_recovery/ this has proved damn useful at recovering software/files that have been lost due to corrupt memory sticks. So perhaps give that a go.
Yes you can run it on external appliances |

Thanks but I cant seem to find the files that I am after.
None of the files displayed have any connection to the progs/games that are missing!! |

Same has just happened to me. I did have the unit connected via USB earlier also, so that must the cause of the problem.
Have you logged it with SE yet?

Sigh... now this also happend to my K800i...
I did a lot of internet surfing on my laptop thru the Bluetooth internet PAN tonight... never done that before. And now the games and app. folders fail to open.
If I look at the info of the game folder it says "3.3 MB and files: 0" ? So it seems like the data still exists somewhere... |

I have the same issue. Didn't help very much that, did it?
However, I know what I did. I downloaded the music Java application that comes standard with W810i and tried to open it. It worked fine for a couple of seconds, then it just went down. When I tried to open the folders again, I got the "Operation Failed".
This is true for all Java applications only (and folders containing them), everything else works fine. I was thinking of trying to reflash it (I'm on Three Sweden now) and at the same debrand it.
If anyone has any success with this, could you please tell me? |
