Hi,

I'm not sure whether this is intentional due to the fact that SE sell 'a' flash unit seperate, but my K750i doesn't have any settings to allow me to flash the light when taking a picture.

I've only had it a day so I haven't really excercised the menu's, so any tips would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards

I take it theres no way to make it flash on and off when I press the shutter button?

This all requires manual intervention lol

K750i does NOT have a flash...its just a simple light that stays on when you turn it on.

Cmon dude this is basic stuff that you can read in the manual rather than posting here.

rather then jump off the mark and start critizing your reply Simon, i'm new here and well it's not worth it.

The manual I received, plus the PDF version online has only 5/6 mentions of the word Light, all of which state that there is infact a light, and you can turn it on. It doesn't mention whether it flashes when the camera is operated or the SOS feature.

Of course I will still look further into this, as I can write a piece of software that emulates the camera, and makes it flash when a picture is taken.

well to be honest I used to have an HTC Blueangel, which has NO light or flash, so anything is an improvement.

Alas, I have just noticed that if you turn the light on and take a picture, the light flashes and then turns off, so it's a step in the right direction (although I have just used the update service).

I opted for this phone as i used to have the t610 and it was very easy and simple, but I just jumped in the developement scene and a pocket pc was a required tool, so I got a phone and pocket pc in one.

Only regret is I have paid for TomTom Nav 5 for my XDA (Blueangel) thinking i could get the sis files to work on SE, but was wrong (not sure why I thought it would) so I have had to keep my pocket pc in the car for GPS nav.

the main reason why I chose this phone was because of the size, and the camera. When your used to carrying around a pda in your pocket all day and night, then switch to a smaller phone, you forget that it's in your pocket.

The camera quality is as expected of a 2 megapixel camera which we have a 5 megapixel digital camera and it's very little difference in quality, just size difference.

Very nice UI, and very pleased about the slide open lens cover, as my PDA camera has dust and dirt on the lens making it very hard to clean.

Just received my car cradle for it this morning, and was very pleased on the build quality and fit, only problem is the nuts and bolts I received with my dash mount didn't fit my pda holder and i've miss-placed them so I have to find some more before fitting it.

All I need now is a cheap HCA-60 (car kit) although I have seen a Nokia Cark-91 adapter which I can use and the car kits are very cheap at the moment.

Unfortunately I can't post a wanted in the accessories forum until i've been a member for 30 days...

yes sure, range of software, touch screen and wireless were the things that interested me the most. I'm waiting for my operator to provide some free Sim cards so I can take the pda to PAYG.
