I used to love the colour combination on my old W800i. It really worked. However that phone developed a problem so i called my provider, (O2) and they send send it back and they'd send a replacement back if they recieved it before 15:00 same day. Well i went ahead and did that but didn't hear anything from them for a week, which led me to calling them. They told me there was a problem and to send my proof of postage, which i did. Again about a weeks worth of silence. I called up and moaned at them and they said they'd dispatch it straight away. Which they didn't. I called again and was told 3 days. On the thrid day i rang again and was promised it for saturday. Saturday came but the phone didn't. So i gave up with O2 returns department and went to a O2 Shop where they called customer services for me. The Woman i spoke to said it was terriable that i'd been left that long and that she'd dispatch me a new phone and refund 2 months line rental. Which was great. The even better thing is that the new phone she sent to replace my somewhat aged W800i was a W810i which i am really really happy with. I know have about from O2 2 512KB cards and a new phone. So i'm undecided if i'm happy with the solution, i suppose i am that i now have a new phone but i was very annoyed at the amount of money i wasted on the phone to O2 returns, who are a load of crap, and time spent without a decent handset.
But now i have a decent handset and its great so. I'm happy. And it looks so much better that the W800i even thought there are really only a few changes. Black is the new white.

Nops, W800 will always be something special in the history of cellphones. It had a unique design where as black is nothing special. |

if black is nothing special, then ca 75% of every mobile fones arent special then? w810 has also a kind of unique design and imo the w810 keypad is far better then w800 ( except that crap made joypad )

I was talking about the color black. Now a day we see almost every mobile in black color. How many are white with orange? |

Well it's ultimately up to people's personal tastes. TBH I didn't like the W800's design; the white was too yellowy for my liking. I can agree that it was a very unique device.
Black will always be the classier and more business-like colour.

it's just personal taste, i didn't liked the orange w800 color the first time i bought it but the feature set just wowed me and looks over functionality? and besides i don't want another nokia phone. so w800 is a unique and great phone. |

The w800i was a great phone and unique in quite a few ways and when it first arrived i thought it was brill, with hints of the I-Pod in its whiteness. But with time the white faded and marks and scratches in it showed up more. And it also looked slightly more childish in comparision to the K750i. My girlfriend has a W800i and together with the W810i they make quite a nice couple....

I'm black all the way, black K750/K800, black PS2/PS3, black Gameboy SP, black computer tower... The list goes on and on, I love black electronics and cars, my dream car is a Ford Mustang 1968 in black yum!
Sorry went a tad off topic there.

i guess black is the standard color,
heard the saying " you can never go wrong with black."
but still you never see many phones ( if any) with a bright orange body.

the r520m copper ( see my avatar ) is also a very nice one, its spoty and elegant in the same time. indeed, the orange colour fits w800 very good, that fone is focused on the young generation. might be thats the same reason with w550.
