Did you know? W810i (Light sensor) |

Hi All,
did you know that the W810i has a light sensor to the top right hand side of the screen!
I picked this up when I was playing with the phone in sunlight, by moving my finger to block the light the key pad illuminated and screen became less bright! What a clever little tool to save on battery life!
If you already knew this, then sorry for boring you!
Otherwise, play away!

What other SE phones does this appear on?
I have had T28, T68, T610, T628, Z600, K700, K750 and a W800 and it has never featured on these phones?

i'm pretty sure the T610 has it.
there's something cool you can do to get over-exposed photos in bright conditions. set the phone to night mode, cover the lens with your finger, then quickly uncover the lens and take the picture before the brightness settings adjust. |

My 7650 had this. Great Idea, pity it's not used more often.
The car in front is absolutely unique apart from the one behind it which is exactly the same. Murray Walker |

The legend that is BIGNICK states.........
The Ericsson R520 is an antiquated brick which was so basic, why would it have required a light sensor?
I strongly believe that this a a fable! At that time Nokia stole the light!
Yes the Nokia 7650 had one but be perfectly honest, I would be too embarrassed to tell anyone I had ever owned that phone as it was one of the biggest mess ups Nokia ever produced! Battery did not even last a day!
Keep smiling guys and don't let my comments upset your day, they are only mobile phones (they may rule your life and yes, you may take them to bed) but be honest they are pretty useless if you can't get a signal!

BobaFett - you certainly know your stuff!
I take it all back, but you must agree with me that the Nokia 7650 was a piece of trash!
