I bought a K750i on the day it was released and sold it very soon after because I considered the earpiece volume, or lack of it to be unacceptable.

I know that later firmware updates were suppose to fix that problem in the K750i but my question to the early adopters of the K800i is:

Does the K800i have a loud earpiece and is the phone useable in an environment with back gound noise?

Thanks
James

Mine goes quite loud. I have used louder equipment but it is definately ok in louder environments.

W800 has a sufficient enough earpiece for any situation, except a rocket take off.

The questions was about K800i not W800i.

I was worried about this as well after putting up with it on the k750 for months until a decent firmware fixed it.

Anyhoo, I'm happy to report that there is no problem here what-so-ever with the k800i. Infact I have it turned down one notch from max..

I didn't and don't find the K750's volume unexceptable at all, in fact it can go very loud...

Is there any Quantif.ble way? Some App or Benchmarking tool perhaps? As in, like for Computers WinStone is there.. like wen they tell You that a Cam is 1.3MP or 3.2MP You know exactly what its (theoratical) max is..
