took o2 around 7 hours to activate my sim last friday
I did call them and what they said was the more you turn the phone on and off the quicker the connection will be...
sounded bull to me but since I was doing that anyway to see if the signal was there I just continued doing it

Do something networks call a soft-reset.
Do a Manual Roam
Select any network but not the network your on
Then wait a few moments
Then do it again but select the correct network and change the settings to Automatic network detection/selection
That may help as that forces the network to update your handset, normally sorts out any slowdowns in recieving SMS, MMS, calls, etc.

Take out the sim and wipe it.
Switch the handset on without the sim.
Then replace sim card and switch the handset on.

what do you mean your 2g one went offline and your 3g one was activated.. are they different then, i never knew that.
will my k750 sim not work in my k800 then....
does the phone not work if you havn't activated the sim (calls wont obviously, but sometimes you cant do nothing, just get sim error or something similar) |

i have my 2g sim in the 750 and the 3g sim in the 800
at 3pm i phoned O2 and they said it would be done soon
at 6pm the 750 came up saying sim inactive and about 5 mins later the 800 got some signal.. it couldnt send or receive txt's though but it could dial out.
at about 9:30pm the 800 went back to saying sim inactive and hasnt changed since. it wont do anything again now.

What's this? Do we need to do this activation if we got a new 3G sim from O2? I've got a signal, but I haven't tried any 3G services yet.
