Is it true that you can use everyone of the memory stick pro duos in w800i?
My point is that does the size matter and what is the biggest of them?

Indeed the biggest MS pro duo is 4GB but I haven't heard if anyone has tested this on W800i.

Offical information is that W800i supports up to 2GB MS pro duo

I've read quite abit about this on other sites and generally the story is that they work but some people have experienced some issues using them

having not done it myself I can't comment personally so make of the above what you will.

This might sound out of tune...but when i docked my new SANDISK 1GB MS Pro into my w800i, it reported the total memory on the STICK as 994 MB...same happens with my PC's HDD...what i'm wondering is, where does the rest of the MEMORY go???

any views???

The formatting(which enables phones to read the card), log files(not seen by phones), and filesystem structure(the actual folders you can see, i.e: DCIM/MSSEMC etc) all take up space on the card; hence no card can actually give you it's stated storage value, always slightly less than this.....

BTW....am interested to know how to format a 4gb MS if a W800 only supports 2gb??
