Hi,
I got my S700 (atlast) last week (well Its still best looking), its Brand New, working great but faced some problems:

1-Screen goes off twice, vibrates then shoots me back to stand by. (reboot?). happend in the 1st night twice, then day after once, and none since then. (Firmware: R3F)

2- The center button, is it supposed to be somekind of loose? u know ball like movement? samething for charger/handsfree its isnt 100% stable, tiny clicks when I push it inward after removing the charger ot the handsfree.

3-The phone's front doesnt lock 100%, there is a slight movement for about 1mm or 0.5mm, before it gets tougher to open. while its not "swingwing" but what concerns me that when the phone vibrates, it makes noise when the front is 100% centred, but when I move it a little bit to the right (the 1-0.5mm) it vibrates quietly, is this normal?
(Easy test is inputting >*<<*<* then I tested the vibrator.)

4-Some distortion when playing the Sony Ericsson tone by the speakerphone , ( just it, never on others till now).

please help me, since I have untill tomorrow (2nd of july) untill I can exchange it.

Yeah, I DID SEARCH the forum, found nothing..

If I were you I would take it back and exchange it because my old S700 has none of the problems that you have mentioned.

I bought it in February 2005 and it still has the original firware on it and I have had no problems with it what so ever, unlike my K750.

The phone locks into place when closed, so no vibrations.
The centre of the D pad is not loose.
It has never rebooted itself since I first turned it on.

I hope this helps a little.

Return it for a replacement.
