I have read this somewhere b4 but wondered if there was a solution.
Just bought a brand new s700i with R3M008 fw and with a Orange sim inserted you don't get the time & cost menu?? insert a o2 sim and its there?? Weird, not Orange again surely

Strange! Its probably Orange.

They don't want you to keep track of the money you spend so you go mad and spend loads each month. buggers.

I could not remember one time I was with Orange when I didn't spend at least £20 more than the tariff!

But then again, that probably goes for most people

Firstly- What :-o !!! You bought a S700i in June of 2006.. nyway Iav been in love with the phone since long and wish you the same (not You n Me, but You n S700 love I meant) .. If its not network locked/ Branded, beats me how that should be! Some useless blabber that, I know.. Okay, but if nothing works, you may chek if this-> pappfer.hu ->site has some S7 f/ware .. thou the doubting Thomas I am, I think you mightav goofed up :P or looking up some wrong :P (no offence, my & my (attempted) wry humour)

LoL Cant but agree, even thou Orange in India sold out their stake- they 'are' a ripp off ! #
Back at the Topic at hand- Bro are you sure u mean the one under Settings- Calls- 3rd tab? (One which has call time, call cost, texts/ sms counter, GPRS / Data Counter?) THAT is a handset menu &IMO be available, no matter what !

4th tab matey and 3rd down and i'm sure with the Orange sim inserted it's not there.
No worries really because i'm soon to give Orange the boot anyway.

Yeah my bad.. tis fire-#- 4th tab-3 .. but then am as clueless on why, how ! Feels dumbo, coz I fail to see how a SIM could alter a phones ROM/ software on IC to behave differently :roll:
