Check it out- at this stage the highest quality MP3 player ive ever had the pleasure of using, at this stage its only at a functioning prototype stage, stage 2 will see inclusion of 3.5mm jack as opposed to hard wired solution currently used. |

MPS -60 amp provides a higher quality sound at a volume unseen in any personnal audio player Ive ever experienced, at this stage the only benefit seen with an ipod is the memory. |

Go read the specs. Second I use a pair of Ultimate Ears or Etymotic headphones with my iPod and to date they sound better on my iPod than on my w810i. Hearing is relative when it comes to audio but for the most part you just want to have a project to do. There is no way a phone that can generate noise and hiss (in some cases) can sound better than a device specifically made for playing music and videos.
Three words; Get an iPod

is it a joke? coz i dont really understand what youre gaining from this mate surely if you wanted the sound to be 'that' much better youd lob a cd into you hifi system.... or better still go and watch a live band... if what youre purposing offers any significant advantage - show us man

Not only that, why use open air headphones that let in ambient noise when EVERYONE knows that in-ear sound dampening headphones offer the best sound quality? Hmmm.....the best sounding .mp3 player in his life. Yup. Joke time.

Thanks for your feedback, sadly u can only make assumptions from a very uneducated and narrow mindset, which have little bearing on the reality of this modification.
By the way yes I have an IPOD, My question is have you tried Portable Speakers MPS-60 amp modification?
no I thought not. |

No need for flaming the guy, I can understand were you coming from and at the end its something you have done and feel happy with so thats all that matters.
I use loads of headphones, if I show you my collection you will probably drop dead. I have the Ultimate Ears UE10 Pro and UE5 PRO, Stax Omega II (these will blow any headphones away) the point I am getting at is be it Open air or In ear monitors they all need to be driven by an amp and until you try an amp (which is what you have done) you will not realise how poor and ipod sounds.
So well done to you mate and keep going with your modding.

Why don't you post a better picture instead of a white blob connected to a phone. Post a step by step. Your picture didn't and still doesn't show much.

Indeed, why not see a live band. I often carry a live band with me in my pocket. When I am not wearing my cargo pants, and as such I cannot carry a live band with me, I do indeed carry an Ipod, as with an Ipod I am able to make phonecalls and browse the internet via the 3G network, much the same as I am with a live band in my pocket. Also, using an Ipod, this does prevent the beer stains that come with the live band, though I do tend to miss the associated level of comeraderie. |
