- does the video encoding got better on this new version of hybrid?
- does it pixelate?
- when take a video, is there boxes showing and destroying the image of the video? |

Camera driver is looking good. Keep it up... and yes, sharpness is still an issue. |

Version 2.1

Shaprness adjusted to 5.......original R1CA is 4 see if you can notice any difference. If you cant then Maybe we've got to work a bit more on adjusting the sharpness. And the focuse algorith mis changed to original setting

Not much of a difference in sharpness (v2.1).
Still, i guess I can stick on to this version till you're free!

well it looks a lot better when the picture is shown in windows visualizer when the pics is shown at 800x600 but on the internet it shown at 1632x1224 there it shows a lot of noise more than the 1.52 version, i think you should take sharpness a little bit........ |

I agree. I think noise is a problem (for me) since 1.5.
And one question, does the normal/fine picture quality distintinction work now? |

Noise, a problem since 1.5? And ever since I got v1.3, I have forgotten what "noise" meant....
No, i'm not kidding - just look at this pic I shot last night:
(Okay, slightly more-than-normal lighting conditions, but whatever...)
Not the slightest hint of noise - and the pic can put many a digicams to shame!
And yes, the Normal/Fine still works.

Nice pic. But as long as there is sunlight in your picture (is there?! I don't know), the pictures won't suffer from noise. Try taking one at night with minimal lighting. Or perhaps I'm overdoing it with the tests.

No sunlight, this one was taken at night. But it was inside a building, and the lighting was more than average.
OKAY, with minimal lighting, there is noise, but far lesser than the level of noise that we used to get with the R1BC/R1CA default drivers.
EDIT: Okay, decided to do a test right here, right now...
This picture below was taken in complete darkness with only the inbuilt LED-flash. (camera version 2.1) - it cant get any better than this - atleast for the time being!
