AFAIK the T300 does not support the SyncML protocol used to syncronize the R520, T39, T65, T68 and other newer Ericssons/ Sony Ericssons. As a result, old Ericsson syncronization tools that interacted directly with Outloook and the like wont/shouldn't work.
If you can find an old application that syncronized the T28/T20 generation of Ericssons that should work, or if the programmer at christersson.org writes a sync program that interacts with the phone directly via AT commands that would work as well. (Probably where the person above found the software to copy his address book and send via IR)
Other than S.E realeasing SyncML compliant firmware for your T300 I think your sunk for Outlook syncronization of the sort you were used to with the T68.
Of course I could be wrong! But there is no mention of SyncML on any of the T300 data sheets on the S.E website that Ive seen in comparison to about the 10 mentions for all the other later Ericssons/Sony Ericssons.

You can try Christersson's Phone backup utility.
Am not sure if it would work for the T300, but i have tried it for the T39 and the T68 and it worked just fine. |

Has anyone tried
datapilot

or
Fone Data Suite

It looks like fone is better because it is cheaper and it syncs calendar

Using the P800 desk stand, I downloaded "mobile phone Minitor" from SE and Datapilot and I was able to sync my phone and download outlook phone book.
I had to set com3 in datapilot and I had to turn off Com3 in the "phone connection link"
"Send file" also works.

To transfer phone book on the T300 with IR, use the send all by IR option on the phone. No software is needed. A single .vcf file containing all the phone book entries will be sent to the PC or other SE phones.
This .vcf file can also be sent from the PC, via cable/IR/BT to another phone.
