I have tried EVERYTHING!!! Still cannot sync my T68 with MS Outlook XP...I tried downloading package 4 as well....no luck. The Phone book and text msg manager can't even find the damn phone.
I have also attempted to connect an after market USB IRport to my laptop....no luck either.
I have read on XTND connect PC's site that SE still does not support XP. If this is true, then why do some of you out there still claim to be able to sync???? I sent an msg to SONY support who VERY CONVINIENTLY told me to go talk to XTND.....sigh
Can anyone out there help? |

Hmmm....I still can't do it..The software just can't find find the phone. It says it's syncing...then says completed on the T68...but on XTND, still saying "slow sync mode".....didn't even read any data off the phone.

I actually did this yesterday. I installed Extend a few months ago but never could never get it to work with my bluetooth card. Yesterday I plugged my laptop to my phone using an Ericsson RS232 serial data cable and it started synching automatically. Works great. Running win xp home edition.

Managed to get my Outlook2002 to sync to my upgraded T68m using XTND4.8 running on XPproSP1 with R4A MPM installed. Got MPM to detect the T68 first using SEMyPictures and everything works like a charm, PBTM, phone settings, etc.
One thing irks me though, when I sync Outlook2002, it seems that the default numbers that you set on the T68 will be screwed and it will be the first number for the each contact. Anyone have this problem? How to overcome? If nothing can be done about it, then I'm going back to PBTM.
Is there a way to sync Netscape7 with T68?

well...
what cable r u using? I use drs-11 / usb
Try to uninstall everything that has to do with sync. (restart after every un-install. important.) then install latest SE package (1.5.1. or sum like that....) that should be enough.. however, I used to have some probs before and I solved it by fooling xtnd by starting myPictures.exe and made that prog connect to the phone first (weird ) , then I turned myP off and then xtnd worked... u know windows need a little tweaking to work ok... another hint is to "fool around with the com port settings in MPM...)
by the way, r the com ports / serial ports enabled in the bios? do they work with other peripherals like modems etc. ?
goOd luck...

You havent said how you are connecting.
I am using MSI 6967 BT adapter and using Win XP Pro service pack 1 and R4a package from Ericsson and Office XP and no problems.

Just checking again with those who managed to sync using XTND and Outlook, does it screw up your default numbers for each contact on your T68?
Thanks.

My XTNDConnect works perfectly with outlook xp.. but i have to answer a question about if i want to let the software access my outlook contacts.. is there a way to tell outlook that it's always ok for XTNDConnect to access my contacts without having to answer the question each time?
