My replacement w810i came from o2 today... came with a black sony memory stick duo. anyone else get supplied one of these?

I dont think so. Sony ones are really bad as compared to the Sandisk ones. |

Sony and Sandisk both developed the PRO memory sticks and also collaborated on Mem stick Micro.
I doubt one is much different from the other.
Akira Kubota, President of Micro Systems Network Company, Sony Corporation, said, "Sony's collaboration with SanDisk Corporation has continued to develop since our initial announcement of the joint Memory Stick PRO format development in 2003. Today's joint announcement of the Memory Stick Micro format provides a new, versatile IC recording media for mobile products such as mobile phones for sharing entertainment and data."

They've been developing them jointly since 2003 so I don't know why one is quicker than the other 
I always remember reading that Sony had either purchased, part-purchased or had something to do with Sandisk a few years back. |
