Sorry if I missed it but I had a quick look...
Kinda cool product! No more messing around at the back of wall mounted stereos and stuff! What kind of nerds will we look with a choice of MMC-60, MMR-60 and now MMC-70 to play our music at parties!

Im I right in saying, you can plug this into a headphone socket and play music through it?

Im currently using my HPM-80 remote as a 3.5m socket to connect to the AUX-in on my pioneer DEH 30mp car stereo it works well, but I will buy a mmc-70 and use that as a permanent connection. However isnt the headphone socket on a stereo an output? would this make any difference trying to play your tunes?.

Thats what I thought. Your headphones normally have the same connector, strange!

it's not for pluging into an output, it's for plugging into a 3.5mm input socket, for example line in on your sound card, so you can listen to your phone's music via your computer.
Stereo's have rca inputs usually, but the MMC-70 allows you plug straight into 3.5mm line-in. If you had a HPM-70, you can't connect to a 3.5mm line in unless you use a 3.5mm plug to 3.5mm plug adapter.
The MMC-70 allows connecting straight into 3.5mm line-in sockets.

I feel this's an useless accessory. But if someone really wants this kind of connectivity, HPM-70 + a homemade 3.5mm male-to-male cable will be more than suffice for this purpose, and such cables are available dime-a-dozen!

The MMC-60 is a marked improvement over the HPM-70+ 3.5mm male to male lead. I also expect the MMC-70 to be substantially better than the HPM-70/male to male lead option.
MMC-60 and HPM-70+ lead Tested
I did back to back comparisons and noticed audible differences in sound quality when using the HPM-70+3.5mm male to male lead compared to the MMC-60. And my 39 year old ears only go up to 17/18, maybe 19000 hertz tops. I tested at 64, 96, 128, and 192Kbps AAC (all tracks ripped from 192Kbps reference mp3's).
Even using such low bitrates in the comparison, the MMC-60 still performed noticeably better, but for 128 and 192Kbps AAC the difference was astounding. Before the MMC-60 I considered 192Kbps AAC unnecessary on the K750, but with the MMC-60 you'll need to buy a 4GB MSDP, because you will want to rip all your music at 192Kbps (higher if talking MP3).
The MMC-60 is not to be laughed at. SE did not make this accesory just to fill out their range. It actually does do a much better job.
The MMC-70 will not have the same quality as the MMC-60, but because there is no break in the cable there will still be good improvements over a HPM-70+male to male lead.

All this actually goes to show how capable the K750 audio player is.
Why the MMC 60 is better than HPM-70+lead
1. There is no break in the cable - it is one piece. Attentuation always results at connection points, and if you hand make a cable then your joins have to be 100% otherwise the attentuation will be badly amplified and there will be loss of signal generally.
2. MMC-60 has gold connectors. Don't laugh , why do you think most connections in computers and phones are gold plated? It's not just a marketing ploy. Gold is far better at conducting electricity than copper. Poor connections is one of the biggest causes of signal attenuation (loss)
3. It uses RCA connections as opposed to 3.5mm. RCA is the minimum standard for quality stereo equipment - 3.5mm just doesn't cut it for hi-fi signal transmission. If it did why would manufacturers use the more expensive RCA plugs on stereo equipment when they could use 3.5mm sockets?

you really do not need it ...this is the only cable you need
you can connect it with your original SE headphones cord or bluetooth (picture)
