Hi everyone,


Does anyone know of any software that enables you to use the sony ericsson w810i phone control tv's etc via infra-red ??? i've heard of software to do this but not found any that works on my phone.

Even if there was such a prpgram, it would be pointless as the ir on the phone has a range of about 20cm. you might as well extend your arm a bit and press the buttons on your telly.

there is one for symbian fones, but as mentioned before, u have to be pretty clost to the tv, but its working fine.

Yeah, I had an app. on my p910 (TotalIR or something like that), and if I angled it perfectly, I could get control about 1.5 meters away [addsig]

Urm wouldnt your tv need bluetooth aswell......do they make tvs with bluetooth?

i think you can - whenever i turn on one of my dvd players my tv auto-switches to it

im not sure if you can use it to change the standard channels but its worth a go

If you have a TV-card in your pc you can watch tv through your pc and use your phone as a remote control (bluetooth) to control the TV-app your using. And yes, if you want to watch it on the TV you have to connect it to the computers tv-out.
