k750i joystick works in Java but not in phone |

I flashed my k750i with w800i firmware, since then the joystick has been unreliable. Currently it works PERFECTLY in all Java applications but will never go left or right when using other phone features.
I've even tried reflashing with the latest Davinci firmware (W800_R1BC002_MAIN_EU_EMEA.DVT) and a master reset. Made no difference
To me this sounds like a firmware incompatibility or other software problem. Has anyone else noticed this? Is your joystick faulty? Try it in a Java app and I'd appreciate any feedback. I'll need to spend another Davinci credit to try reflashing back to k750i firmware.
Thanks,
Chris. |

Well, seeing as flashing didn't work, two words. Service Centre.

That would be an easy option if it was in warranty which it isn't. Anyway, they've already BER'ed it (Beyond Economical Repair) allegedly. The repair agents for 02 in Ireland are incompetent (Nova Service Solutions) - when inspecting my phone they severed the camera ribbon cable, incorrectly reassembled the housing and claimed it's BER. So it's DIY or the dustbin !

This is really strange, I used SEUS to downgrade back to k750i firmware but that made no difference. Joystick still won't go up or right in phone but will in Java applications. |
