W810i help! (non functional W810) |

Basically, when I turn on my phone all I get is two words on it.
'Select' on the left hand side and 'info' on the right. I click 'info' and then 'ok' appears on the left hand side. I click 'ok' and it goes back to the 'select and 'info' screen. I click 'select' and then there is nothing on the screen and not one single button can bring me back to the screen so I then therefore have to turn it off to get it back on.
So, I turn it back on. Again, it's the 'select' and 'info' screen. I press the walkman button and then I get to a 'play' or 'more' screen. I click on 'more'. Then there is just 'info'. I click 'info and I get 'ok'. I click 'ok' and I get 'info'. I repeat this for a few times before realising that nothing is happening.
Basically, how the hell do I get to access the functions on my phone e.g. camera, video, calls, texts etc...?
My battery is working, my sim card is in and for the correct network. What is going wrong here? It's driving me crazy.

have you done anything to the phone lately? tried flashing new firmware etc that might have caused the problem?
if not then maybe attempting an online update to reflash current or newer firmware might fix your problem otherwise its off to the service centre for you I guess, unless the phone is very new (up to a couple of weeks or so) in which case return it to the retailer for a replacement

When I turn the phone on, it doesn't go through the normal start up though when the sony ericsson logo comes on the screen. It doesn't go through any of those processes. Why?!?!
It's like i've locked the rest of my phone out. It's like it's just on standby rather than turned off. |

Try starting the phone without the memory card in it, sounds as if the same problem some of us had with the W800i.

i had the same problem,exact symptoms.it occured after i had charged my fone.i had to get the software reflashed onto the phone.hope this helps |

"Select" and "Info" are the two options at the start up screen where you can choose to start the phone ar put in Walkman (Flight) mode.
If you can't see these two options then it sounds like a firmware thing. You could try a 'hard reset', this does not lose any info on your phone.
All you need to do is turn the phone on and when you have "Select" or "Info" displayed take off the battery cover and whip out the battery without turning it off! Wait 15 seconds or so and then put your phone back together and try again.
If that does not cure the problem then it sounds like a firmware problem. As it's so new it will still be under warranty so get it replaced.

You can flash using DaVinci but this will void your warranty, as its going to be covered take it back to the shop and get it done properly.
