why do 90% of mobile phones look cheap as f**k?
would happily pay for a well built one, good design and nice form
can never seem to find one that is just a simple text / call phone that doesnt look like a fisher price phone |

Get the B&O-Samsung Serene......the ultimate in minimalistic design and great build!
But frankly, wud a general buyer shell out $300 for a "well built" calls-and-text-only fone?

its an individual point, what looks good or not that welcome, imo. i liked very much /// design, now a days 6680 forexample. i do prefer big screen and big keypad. w800 and w810 arent that bad, but tiny screen.

I would say there have been quite a few low end good looking phones.. The T610 for example.. But as they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beer holder! ... er beholder.. |

indeed, that alu cover made t610 for a nice fone, however i was never a big fan of it, more of t630

You know all those luxury Nokias and especially Vertus are made for build quality.

moto build quality is normally fairly good.
the V3/V3i/SLVR have all been very good and the SLVR is even covered in a diamond dust finish to stop scratching...

I second that...even low end phones like the L6 have fairly good quality.

lol I got one of those today and hes got a fair point although they cost more then $300 lol.
Get a older nokia they are very sturdy and very basic, a nokia 6822 is chap only about £80 and well made and can take allot of punnishment, either that or a nokia 6310i, very good and again cheap, only like £30, or even a t610, or a 3310 for that matter
