ANyone have any idea which UK networks to avoid? I have been on on O2 for my K750i but unfortunately the reception at my new house sucks, so i am looking to change networks. DO vodafone and orange still brand the phones? i'm talking about firmware branding.

Cheers

yes, they do.

the K800 branding will most likely be no different than those on the K750 so that should give you some idea

Orange branding isn't quite as bad as voda (wierdly though i got a N80 recently on orange and it has virtually no branding, only a couple of links in the wap brouser, wierd but alll good)

So is voda branding still as crap as it used to be? like do you have probs with non drm ringtones? Do voda restrict the phone in anyway. If its just a bit of red on the menus i can live with that...

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you can see the voda branding here :

I dont like the whole silver mirror screen surround, and i understand this has been changed for the vanilla k800, but my voda k800 is as per the pic

Yeah, look at what Vodaone has done!

Call and End buttons just like the V630 and NO activity menu button.

strictly speaking, isnt the key mat hardware?

thats the only difference between voda ones and generic ones (the green/red keys are supposed to have an internet and activity menu button)
