W800i v W810i Quickie Please |

Apologies for posting this as I'm sure this has been asked a 1000 times already but need to make a quick decision!!
Have been offered a W810i sim free for £150. I can sell my W800i for £100 so I'm getting the new phone for only £50! I really like my W800i but do like to change phones alot....can someone briefly explain what I would be gaining by changing and what if anything I would lose. I have heard the the screen is smaller but alot more sharper, is this correct. Are there any differences in the Walkman application? I currently use a 2GB card in my W800i and would want to make sure that the W810i supports this as well.
Would really appreciate a speedy reply on this before some one else beats me to it. |

w810 works fine with 2gb card, had no problems with it. the screen is very nice, might be its sharper then w800.

w810i imo has every lil prob i had with the w800i ironed out..... IE: it looks sweet , extra buttom - easier access to phones features... no lens cover (my opinion is this is so much better - my old w800i kept breaking)....
One thing thats bad tho - no stand by screen clock - although fif you press the volume button teh clock is displayed
Buy it mate, you'll be even happier (if you are happy now with your w800i)

oh yeah, very true bobw... the keys are set out better.... i personally prefer the alternative to teh joystick on teh w810i... never got on with teh joystick taht well... and im sure after about 6montsh of use it became a lil bit less responsive...... (by teh way, anyone who may be interetsed in my w800i, the one i am selling is a new replacemenet - not teh one with teh problems im mentioning) - sory bout that, thought i had better clear up a lil few ends befor ei get questions as to why im selling a new (2 month) old phone etc.....
Anyhoots... to me, the w810i is a vast improvement on teh w800i..... |

i liked the full screen browser solution. batt performance was the same as in w800 imo, but its a bit difficult to take out the batt.

i found teh battery comes out easier with my w810i than it did on my w800i.... but i suppose thats just luck
battery life tho, im yet to see any improvement, but youd assume that with taking teh stand by clock off, it may/could help....??? Not that i think it particularly uses much lol
Boba, you noticed the camera flash problem yet? (not that i see it as a problem).......
Basically to anyone who thinks what is he on about... when you use teh camera and flash... after a certain amount of time the flash light will actually flash.... i have heard this is because its some kind of warning to let you know teh lights on <--- doh, surly teh big bright flash indicates that just fine maybe it is a bug, i dont noe, none teh less, its no big deal IMHO |

how do u like that button in button solution. the idea isnt that bad imo, but those keys are way to small, can be pushed accidently easily

i like it, but you are right, they are a lil small... i soemtimes hit teh walkman buttom by accident - im just hoping that i'll get more and more used to it
Doesnt help that i got chubby thumbs tho

nokia symbians, i need 3g. but back to topic. afaik the w810 wasnt that a big success, might be, cos next to the new design and some advantages in the fw, its still a w800.

very true boba, it is a w800i... but improved... to be honest, if the w800i had changable covers etc, i dont reckon id of got a w810i... my reasons were because i saw it as a k750i and w800i as one...... exactly what i wanted
