Last night i put the phone on charge, this morning i take it off charge and put it into my pocket.

Come to use it this afternoon and the following buttons dont work:

1,2,3,6,9,# and the left Navi key thingy, the stick doesnt work when pressed right or down, and the power button will not turn the phone off but will turn it on.

I suspect this may be a firmware problem as when i move the joystick to the positions that dont work, the backlight comes on, and the power button will let me turn it on but not off.

But also it could be a hardware problem.

Any ideas? and ive just tried updating it on the SEUS but still the same! Using a 1gb San Disk MS Duo Pro if it makes any difference, and its unlocked but using a vodafone sim

if u have warranty, then dont worry, it will be managed in a service for free. but let it check asap by experts.

My previous problem was this

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=112768#post1561309

Sent it back twice for that and they said they couldnt find a problem with it. So it still doesnt work but ive managed to put up with it.

Now my new problem is the bottons not working, not been a very good phone overall!

But also all the buttons work fine in java applications ?!?!

Is this a software fault or hardware?

The exact same thing happened to me.

I did a master reset and then flashed it with the latest software.

It seemed to fix the problem.

master reset did nothing and now its constantly trying to press 3!!

hard to navigate menus and its running down the battery when the keys are locked as the backlight keeps coming up and telling me to press the appropriate keys to unlock!!!

When I've encountered some keypad problems with my T68i back then . . . it just needs some cleaning underneath it . . . the technician said that it has somethin' to do with the 'contacts' beneath .. . but this is a different model . . . I hope your problem will be solved soon - Ben ! [addsig]
