roaming problem in saudi |

When I put my U.K. O2 SIM into my employers' Nokia 3100 phone I can choose between Al Jawaal and GPRS enabled Etisalat networks. Both work fine.
However when I put the SIM back into my K600i I can only choose Al Jawaal and the GPRS enabled Etisalat network is suddenly unavailable.
Why would this happen and how can I get my K600i to work on Etisalat?? |

perhaps the K600 doesn't have good signal receiving strength

Thanks, but signal strength seems fine, I don't think that is the problem.
I am in middle of Dahrhan.

Are you able to do a network search on the handset? |

Yes network search shows all networks present. Shows Etisalat as unavailable when I try on the K600i, but will register on Etisalat no problem when I try on the cheapo Nokia 3100...... |

As I undrestand, your K600i shows after network search that Etisalat is forbidden network. But have you tried to force the phone to choose Etisalat despite that information?
I experienced that kind situation in Tunisia last summer during in two weeks vacation. And it was possible to force to choose the phone the "forbidden" network (but not always). After I asked about it from my home operator and they said it was their (my home operator's) problem.
