The joystick isnt working properly these days. Esp the down and left navigation. But then again, sometimes, like now, its working perfectly fine. But i have decided to go to the phone service center and put my warranty card in some use.

The problem is i have only 2 days of warranty left. And just incase if they dont take my mobile for repairing, how much wld it cost to replace a joystick, if incase it gets totally spoiled in the future?

Try to repair yourself. Tonight remove battery and drop about 4-5 drops of ethyl spirit directly onto joystick. Insert battery after a few hours. The flashing (update via SEUS) is strongly recommended too.

My k700 suffered from this too; took the cover of with the help of some pictueres on a website; jumped the joystick knob off the real stick underneath, dropped some electronic contact cleaning fluid, let it dry for a while. Works almost as new.
If you drop the fluid on the knob without making sure it flows into the contact on the printplate itself, it might not help that much.

imo its better to manage it by experts, especially when u never did it before. no offence for the former posts here, but a wrong move and the fone could easily damaged.
