The joystick isnt working properly these days. Esp the down and left navigation. But then again, sometimes, like now, its working perfectly fine. But i have decided to go to the phone service center and put my warranty card in some use.
The problem is i have only 2 days of warranty left. And just incase if they dont take my mobile for repairing, how much wld it cost to replace a joystick, if incase it gets totally spoiled in the future? |

screwed
Try to repair yourself. Tonight remove battery and drop about 4-5 drops of ethyl spirit directly onto joystick. Insert battery after a few hours. The flashing (update via SEUS) is strongly recommended too.

My k700 suffered from this too; took the cover of with the help of some pictueres on a website; jumped the joystick knob off the real stick underneath, dropped some electronic contact cleaning fluid, let it dry for a while. Works almost as new.
If you drop the fluid on the knob without making sure it flows into the contact on the printplate itself, it might not help that much. |

imo its better to manage it by experts, especially when u never did it before. no offence for the former posts here, but a wrong move and the fone could easily damaged.
