I have an 8910i and i can hear myself speak on the phone but the caller or person im calling can not hear me? Is this the ribbon or does something else need replacing? Thanks,

It most probably is....especially if you have the headset icon up and you can't answer the phone by letting the fone slide up, it doesnt answer?

It does awnser when the phone slides up but takes a few seconds to realise that the phone has slid up. How easy is it to replace? It looks like the spring may get in the way, thats all

Best to get a NSC to do it but buy the ribbon from ebay and just let them do the labour, otherwise it reaches £70 odd for a repair. or if im not mistaken, because the 8910i is part of the premium range, they will send it off to the main HQ to do it.
Anyway buy a ribbon for about £15 on ebay and then get someone to fit it.

I fitted it myself, came today and fitted it just now. Tested and works a treat, was easier then i expect it to fit.

Bought the phone off ebay for £50 and was described as the bottom slide had come off and no other problems so contacted seller and he has agreed to pay for the parts which is great.
