P990i - Best Deal On Contract! |

Well this may be rather premature but i thought i would create this thread for people who are thinking of getting the P990i on contract.
I was just wondering if there are many good pre-release deals around yet? This phone is going to be pretty expensive so i have decided to cut the cost hopefully by around half by getting a contract again.
Just wanted to see what people (mainly who work in the industry) think will be the most likely kind of deals once it is released. I was thinking maybe it will be around £200-£250 on a £30 per month plan?
Your thoughts?

Nice idea Miss C
Personally i think paying £30 - £35 a month on a new contract the P990i should be available at around £99 - £150 !!!
Hopefully it will be cheaper but we never know.
Sim free must be between £400 - £550 ?

Don't think i'll go for it sim free at that price, i want to know what offer O2 will have as there's should have minimal branding!

Really i would be very happy if it was around that price, it is hard to judge at the moment. I personally will be looking for the following on 02:
200-500 anytime/any network minutes
300-500 text messages
It is hard to find any decent contract were you get more than 300 messages per month.
I am keeping a look out at prices but i suppose there are subject to change and not many places have many deals at the moment.

Anyone know which network providers wont be providing the P990?
Play.com's sim free is a bit steep for me, a poor student , so i was thinking i would get the p990 as a replacement for my k750i in a month when the contract is up, but obviously i will have to put a bit 'o cash toward it !!
I remember when i used to post here there was a thread about how to talk network providers into giving you a better deal when your renewal came up with the threat of cancelation....i dont seem to be able to find it though. Could someone help me?
cheers

they all do matey... O2 seems to be a good one and i have have a recent great upgrade deal on orange..... but its very user dependant (i meant if you use your pohone alot = spend lots of month per month.... |

I will be going with 02 without a doubt orange do have some good deals at the moment but their branding is a huge turn off for me.
If i can get 200+ minutes and 300+ messages for £30 per month i will be happy, hopefully without the phone costing to much. You always seem to get deals which offer more minutes than txts and i hardly ever call people so it would be abit wasteful.

miss C look at the t-mobile relax 35 deal (12 months contract), 500 mins, 200texts (with an aditional 500) all for £30/£35 with free w810i i think ( so hopefully the p990 will be £100-£200)
Aslo teh flext one is better but you ahve to sign up for 18months (that includes £200 of usage)........
Also if you go to say, onestopphoneshop... they will do these deals but with free line rental for 3months (on 12months contract - relax tariif) and 6months on (18 months - flext traiff).
Hope this helps
Only nagging pain is having to go on t-mobile (and hope that they realease teh p990i:) ) |

I have looked at t-mobile and there deals are very good but i am not prepared to leave 02 to be honest.
They offer the least branded phones which is my main priority! An 18 month contract doesnt bother me really as you can usually upgrade way before that.
I guess more and more deals will slowly appear as the weeks go on!

yeah true, but i used teh t-mobile deal to clintch a nice lil upgrade off orange...... i mean if you start giving them facts (work out exactly hpw many texts and mins that t-mobile offer gives you) and tell them about teh onestopphoneshop etc... they tend to offer you a nice lil package.....
Just an idea for a leaver for you
help get a better upgrade (tahts assuming you are upgrading from another contract when the p990 gets released) even if you aint upgrading theres still no harm in saying what other companies have to offer in teh hope they'll up your deal
I fancied this phone but havbe been waiting too long, happy wilth my itsy bitsy w810i now |

Thanks for the information. Like i mentioned in another thread i have had contracts before and never used them. But this time i will be keeping this contract for good and move over from pay and go permanently.
Depending on were i get my contract will depend on whether i can get anything more out of them, i have only ever got them in phones4u or dial-a-phone. Not too sure what the best places are for the best deals.
You got a great deal on the W810i think i will just sit tight though for now, P990i grows on me the more i see it.
