This is brilliant! Up until last night I could not see the need to have silent camera mode. i.e. I was in a theatre and wanted to take pictures - the sound echoed everywhere. So, I read this post and followed the steps to remove the camera sound - no probs at all. Now all I need do is go into silent mode before taking a photo. As this is all relatively new I can't wait to see what other mods people come up with. Bring it on. |

Dang it. Seems like I got a prob.
The 1st time I tried to connect my w800 with the FAR manager,it was a success.
But the 2nd time,my w800 wouldn't connect with the FAR manager.
I connected my w800 with the DCU-60 and all it would do is just turn on. |

I can see lots of potential for this. This is like mucking around with a motorola. You can even see and edit the camera software settings. I reckon someone with the correct skills will be able to figure out how to change some camera settings. I also reckon there may be a way to get rid of the operator logo. I also reckon those unfortunate enough to have Vodafone locks could modify "customize.xml" or "default.xml" to allow use of MP3's for ring tones.

Answer - 1stly try resetting your phone. But most importantly hold down the C button before you plug the cable into you phone

Step 1 is ok...
I can find customize.xml, but I can't find this code:
I try to edit...and add that code, but the file can't be saved and my FAR Manager "hung"

Turn off camera sound.
It really works !!!
1. Search "customize.xml" file - you can find it in FS/tpa/preset/custom
2. In "customize.xml" search for:
change to:
3. Save file.
4. For change option in file "customize.xml" you must do "master reset" - it can be without lose user data.
Now you can take photos without camera sound - if phone is in silence mode ("#").

This is already possible. Just take a look here:
1. first register at www.topsony.com (if you don't have a login already)
2. go to K750i "Actualización"
3. Click on "Aread Download"
4. Login into members area
5. Click on "Borrar logo del operador"
6. unfortunately it is not english, but a picture can say more then 1000 words
7. Modify your MAIN firmware and remove the op logo
8. Now flash the fw with DaVinci as described above.
By the way, i converted my K750i to W800i successfully using the description of mb-new.
