is there any available files that we can flash from R1CA to R1DB using FAR manager?

HELP !!!! I flashed my k750 it was branded from vodafone , EMEA4, and i flashed w800 firmware on it using SEUS (tricked it using hendrix method) . Ok...the phone ran great for abou a week until all my music started playing wrong when i used the headphones. The player cuts the mid band , leaving only low and high frequencies , the sound is awfull ! so i pluged my phone into SEUS , reflashed it to k750 and also restored the default file system , wich i backed up originaly when flashed to w800 firmware. The problem is that after doing all that , my music plays the same , and it's not hardware related , because you can hear the music clear on the speakerphone , but just plays terrible on headphones ..anyone got ideas ? |

I have used GFLASH to successfully flash my phone from R1L035 to R1BC002 EU_2 using this excellent guide:

First time I tried it I pushed the READ CID.
It told me to UnBrown my phone (huh, I was sure it was red)
I closed GFLASH then skipped over to Topsony and wrote the RED EROM with FAR

(MAKE sure you've got yours backed up [explained elsewhere in TopSony])
After having passed my phone to RED (phew!)
I downloaded "W800 R1BC002 MAIN EU EMEA.bin" and then the "W800 R1BC002 FS EU2.bin" then did the following in GFLASH:
1. Browse for the MAIN and choose the main flash file. (the "W800 R1BC002 MAIN EU EMEA.bin")
2. Press the “…” and choose the filesystem flash file. (the "W800 R1BC002 FS EU2.bin")
3. For Model I typed in “W800i” without quotes.
4. For the CDA I was looking for EN/FR so I typed in "CDA102425/6" without quotes.
5. Tick "Flash Main", "Flash Filesystem" and "Finalize phone"
6. Press the flash button. (It started flashing the blocks 1 by 1 [yipée it works!!)
7. Made myself go elswhere (I cooked something to eat)
8. After I saw it had finished Finalizing the application went idle.
9. Unplug your phone, pull out battery, plug in and enjoy the new firmware.
The only worry I had was that I couldn't go from testing the CID to Flash without the application crashing. The bug dodge on this one is to simply do one thing at a time. Do the CID test, close the app. Then after re-opening the app go straight for the flashing options.

i want to use FAR Manager on my "antique" S700 (antique since most people who had an S700 before have already sold theirs to upgrade to newer phones, hihi...). however, i've read that the syncstations (DSS-20 & DSS-25) are not supported. the only thing supported is the "service cable". what is this "service cable"? i don't think it's the DCU-11, is it?

Hello VRL, The service cable will be some sort of RS232 (COM) interface. The cruiser interface is one example (http://ucables.com/ref/CRUISERSET)
I point out that I have no experience with this so I cannot be held responsible if it doesn't work.
Please note that there is an interesting entry in the SE-NSE forum that indicates the use of the DCU-60 with a com port emulator :

Try getting your hands on an old T68 serial cable, that might work. They say the DSS-25 won't work because it uses a newer USB interface.

thanks for the info! i searched through the net and found out that the DCU-11 may be used for flashing only if it is modified. i assume this could also work in FAR. i'll try getting a DCU-11 and modify it according to the instructions on this site and see if what i'm thinking is feasible.

Hello,
I have the problem with SEFP, my phone is SE K750i, FAR 1.71 alpha, SEPF version 010044 (though i tried using older version and nothing changed) - I keep getting "unknown exception" error immediately after choosing SEFP from plugins menu, before I even have a chance to connect the phone. Does anyone know what's going on?

Hi! does anybody know if its okay to flash an APAC phone to an EU one
(because there is only an EU main file for R1CA021 available in topsony.com)
or can i use an EU main file with an APAC FS file?
I only use EN anyway so it's not as if i would lose a language. |

O.K that's great! later in the thread there is a query from another user about the files extracting in some kinda strange format.. ? would it be possible to install the Russian (both phone menu and T9) language? this would be extremely helpful!!!!! (I am currently awaiting regestration confirmation from top-sony, so that I can access the language packs) Thanks in advance guys, this is one damn helpful thread |

if someone could please help me install the russian language on my phone, I would absolutley LOVE THEM,
PLEASE!!! (I've managed to put the Russian language input files into the system (.lng and .t9))
-BUT- is it possible to have all of the menus and other writing, apart from sms language, in Russian???!?!?
