Hi

I use www.macoman.co.uk - they are very good. I was recommended them on a business forum and I now use this host exclusively for any site that I run

Well, to do that you're going to need either CGI support, ASP or PHP for the form handling script. Many webhosts offer a form-to-mail script pre-installed for you so keep an eye out for that.

Personally, I use www.web-mania.com. £20 per year plus VAT for the hosting and it has full PHP/MySQL support.

Yeah, 12Gb a month is more than enough for a general site, even a pretty popular one. If you're going to offer large file downloads (>100Mb each) or host lots of very high resolution photographs then you might need to up your limit, which you can do from your web-mania control panel.

Web Mania send you an email if you start getting near to your 12Gb limit, you can then order extra bandwidth if you wish. If you don't, access to the site will be suspended until the start of the next month once your limit has been used up.

@below, sorry but I disagree.
the most disgracefull host I've ever used is Hostgator.

I seriously recommend NOBODY uses them.
They are unprofessional and sneaky.
They cause problems and then when you complain, they fix the problem and claim there was no problem to begin with.
They give you less that what you should be getting until you notice and complain.

Don't get me started. Read my blog for horror stories.

Inmotionhosting.com is a good host if you want reliability and professionalism.

Not ONCE in the 4 years I've used them has any of the sites gone down, and they treat you very nicely and give courtesy calls all the way from the US.

I also recommend another host at the moment that gives you 1terrabyte of bandwidth, 20gb space, and no download limit speed caps.

A friend of mine uses inmotion hosting too, they are pretty good. A little more expensive than web mania but you get a much more generous bandwidth allowance if your site does does need it, plus a few other extras that might come in useful.
