the message tones only play for 10 seconds on w810/k750/w550 etc.its better to make your own and have the selection of song you want as a message tone.

Why you need long message alert tone? Others will probably think that is a call. Or even if you want to put your favourite song just as message alert tone, cut your favourite part of the song (not longer than 10 seconds) and save it as mp3 file. It is not possible to play the whole MP3 file as message alert tone.

I agree, one guy at our office has one of the old p900's or something, and he has a song as a message alert tone. Besides me I think just about everyone in the office has tried to either kill him or hire an assasin to do so...it is the most annoying thing on the planet...

So for your own health, don't even think about it. It is stupid. It will prolong your life to not do so. If you need more convincing, I will give you some...just ask.

Indeed! Anything longer than a ding-dong is just obnoxious. It's bad enough people let their damn phones ring forever just so they can hear a snipet of whatever pop diddy currently rocks their clock.

I find it a little overboard and tacky to use an MP3 for anything other than listening to through headphones.

Who the hell wants to hear "My Lovely Little Lumps" everytime your codependent girlfriend calls whining about how you never bring her bloody flowers anymore. Gross!
