Please hlp....Nokia 6030 here...BSNL CONNECTION....Has data cable ANy way to connect to computer and to use it as modem???Able to connect to computer 2 exchange files using mobimb 3.2....

BSNL has good coverage and airtel good plans...Use bsnl for incoming and airtel for outgoing and gprs...

hey everyone, i had downloaded settings from bsnl's site www.cellone.in/select.html actually the page has got only four links,. ie. one link of each zone, the different states listed in a specific zone leads u to the same page
ie. up e , up w , punjab , haryana etx. listed in north zone open up the same page!!
but the thing to be noted is that u can request for the settings from any region becoz when u enter ur phone number then it detects the region!!!
but in the settings of portal (which arrived) , they had the name portal north
tats no prob, apn celloneportal , no prob, but ip was 192.168.081.163 tat wasn't ok at all!! becoz the phone showed up an error and i was unable to connect!! later i connected wit the ip 192.168.51.163 then only i was able to connect!!
i wonder why the BNSL (intentionally spelled wrong) people are sendin the wrong settings!!

Any1 tried this trick on Edge enabled phone? please let me know the maximum speed ur getting on bsnl prepaid and average speed?

I will buy a New BSNL Prepaid SIM card (Rs220/-) in that they will give Rs 50 as talktime and 7days validity. Firstly now can i get gprs activated with Rs50 as balance?? And what is logic behind Minimum balance of Rs 500/-? Is it true that without Rs 500 they wont activate GPRS services???
After 7days if I dont recharge then can i still use this trick ? I mean to say in grace period (90days) ? Am from hyderabad.
Please guys reply back soon! Am getting a good fancy number. So i can grab it soon, if things work for me.

The problem of bad service @ BSNL is not due to it emplotees but due to government...The employees are old about 45 now....They are given only max.3 day training before giving new post...Coaching on new tech is done by private institutes who teach only texts....So BSNL employees are dump...More than that they will get punisment for revealing something confidential(nothing is actually)...even suspension...No body want to take risk...
Also employee strength is also low...So low morale ...Bad service... |

i cleared the cache, tested it again and again , but it showed the more or less the same results!

Calcutta telecome giving me 579 kbps on my cell 6030 with opera mini.
72.38 KB/sec.......
Is that a true figure or simple wrong
I am using BSNL GPRS...I am the only one under tower using the service.
This place is a village...More than that real jungle...

I got a sensational 5.6 mbps... From the Bsnl site of calcutta telephones... That speed test is just pathetic.. And not true..

hi guys,
I need ur help, i got the g showing up on my screen. But i cannot connect to the net though opera. I am a little confused i have nokia galary wherein i can connect through the server through A*T*L LIVE 2.
that is after following all the steps in your thread. I seriously dont know what i am asking. Is there anyway i can reset on my configurations on my cell. my opera version is some 6.something. I followed all ur steps in ur thread but i stil cant use opera, it says services: cannot access remote server. At some instances i can connect through A*T*L LIVE 2 and some i cant but i can never through opera. Tell me if i am atleast askin the right questions. Please give me some suggestions as to what i should do.
