I called Voice stream and one of operatior said that. when you get a T68, make sure you get 32k and not 16k version of sim card. But now I call and no one seem to know what I am talking about. All they know is one sim card for all phones.

I would like to know are there two different memory capacity sim cards, 16k and 32k? Or just one?

there are various SIM card capacities: 8k, 16k, 32k and 64k.

some phones have trouble working with newer, high-cap SIMs. while some new phones have problems with older 8k SIMs.

If there is a way that we can tell the differences between sim cards that would help a lot of people. Getting ripped by celluar companies isn't cool at all. I do wish there are more information about these different capacity sim cards.

Our SP, Globe Telecoms (Philippines), indicates the SIM capacity at the back of the SIM card. Mine clearly states 32k. (and they look physically different from the older ones)

Most of the 32K cards that are being made say 32k on them. The easiest way to tell is to see how many #'s the sim will hold. A 32 will hold around 250, 16 about 110, 8 about 50.
