Hey everyone, i tought id let you know what deal i just got with orange (in teh hope that everyone who need to upgrade will not get ripped off

Basically i aint suppost to upgrade for another 3 months but they've let me coz i genuinly wanted to pay off my 3 months line rental to move over on to the flext 35 tarrif...

Orange offered me £30 a month contract (first 6 months at £15),
free w810i,
free 12 months insurnace
500 anytime/anynetwork mins,
600 texts......

oh, and its a 18month contract by the way (whcih tbh they will let me upgrade again after 12 months (if not 6 ) )

Good deal anyone? if it isnt i can always phone them back and haggle for more

Cheers

Whats your monthly spend and how much was your contract previously?

I am on the lowest student plan £15 a month with 1000texts free but my bills come to £60 sometimes.

I called them the other day and they gave me a free w800i but now i think i need to move to a different plan with more mins and seeing what you got!

I upgrade every 5-6 months on orange, even though you're only meant to every year. I just argue with them, threaten them with leaving, and get a new phone. I haven't done it in a while though. Once I upgraded 3 months after upgrading.

Its really easy!

You know i would love to be able to get a contract to use which has decent minutes and txts for like say £20-£30 per month.

Thing is people post here saying they have got a really good deal like a free phone and say 500 minutes and 600 txts etc etc. But that is probably because they have been with there provider for a number of years, right?

Is there any way to be able to get a decent contract with more txts than minutes, i was hoping to get the p990i on contract for say £200-£250 but it would have to have around 200 minutes and say 500 txts and those deals dont seem to appear.

hey miss C,

Basically flext is your answer (in teh hope they have teh p990i)....

If you pay £35 a month you get to use £180 worth of usage.... the call rate is 20p/min anytime any network and teh texts are 10p.... i think thats not including VAT..... on that tarrif most phones are free (w810i is)....

I have been with ornage for about 2-3 years yeh, also im a 'high user' apprently..... But if you phoned them (im guess youve been with them at least a year now - hence teh upgrade) and said youve seen teh flext deal and wanna change ove rto it, they will offer you teh best deal that fits you... if teh deal aint good enough quote teh onestopphoneshop's deals of free phone on flext and 6-9months half price line rental... then if you aint got a monkey on teh phone they'll work out you need a better deal to keep your custom....

hope it all works out for ya miss C

Let us know if you get any deals

Thanks for that, i think you got the wrong end of the stick though, i do not have a contract at the moment, not at all. I cancelled it last year as i never used it enough.

Is the flex thing just on orange as there is no way i would change network and have a branded phone unless it was O2 who i am with now (pay and go) as they use minimal branding.

Just wanted to be able to get a contract i would use with enough txts to make me stay on contract for good.

Hopefully they will have some good deals on contract when the P990i is released then i can make the switch.

lol were both getting the wrong end here

flext is on T-mobile.....

O2 i have heard will offer you more to be with them.... phone them saying youre deciding between O2 and T-mobile flext and they should opffer you a deal.... at the end of teh day most peopel aint aware of this flext deal out there and never quote it........

Say to O2 youve been a Pay as you go memebr etc..... the shoudl wanna keep ya (companys dont liek you signing up to flext coz its 18months)

All the best

Hmm thanks may try that once the P990i is released then, cheers. Or i may just save up enough to buy it outright.

Flext seems like a good deal, although 18 month contract is abit of a pain, you got a good deal on your upgrade though.

Thanks
