i just got my xda exec and when i put my 02 payg sim in it it says invalid or missing sim card so i cant use it as a phone

whats wrong?

is it brand new or have you bought it second hand from someone?

Sounds like it is sim locked which is weird as they were normally unlocked.

how can that be, its 02 branded and ive put an 02 payg sim in, even if it was sim locked it would be locked to 02 right?

i think its just my genie sim causing the problems, some phones just dont like it for some reason cus its so old i think

its a green genie sim that only few ppl have, krish knows what im on about

is there any way i can transfer my number onto a fresh 02 sim?

i would call o2 i am pretty sure they will have to replace your sim for you. even though i am sure they will try and talk you into taking out a new/different contract. have you tried any other sim cards in it?

ye, my virgin sim works fine in it
