Hi.

Took delivery of a w810i today on t-mobile, still with branded firmware.

Before buying the phone I saw a review on mobile-review and there were pictures of a screen that I dont seem to be able to access on my phone- or do not know how to. The screen is in the following image:

Also, I've heard some things about 'flash menus', anyone care to explain what these are and whether the first problem is related to the flash menus and my branded firmware?

thanks!

My W810i is unlocked and I have the "Flash themes" that come as part of original content. Not sure if the branded phones have the same content.

The themes are just great. Orbit seems to be my favorite - the little vibrations you get when you move between menu items!

Cheers!

hi,

yes it is possible - i think it was boba who posted the original files for a w810i generic. could have been someone else. might have just been w800i though - ask someone that has a generic w810i to take the themes off of the phone and then host them/send them to you.

It doesnt have to be the fact that you have a branded phone. I have an unbranded w810i and it doesnt have the flash menus, while others here in the netherlands with branded phones do have flash menus. So i think it depends on the country.

I have done the same as you, though I thought I buggered my phone in the process... it seems okay now and it was just my iMac's Virtual PC messing up... No flash themes yet though!!!

SEUS checks what firmware you have now and matches it with the latest available of that type, so with my T-mobile branded phone it checked for the latest t-mobile branded firmware, and it was up to date so that didnt help, thats why I used to davinci team software to get my phone to generic firmware.

It all just depends what operator you get your phone from and what they've done to your firmware.
