o2 ringing about new contract, how far can i push them? |

Hi,
got a o2 man ringing shortly tonight...offering me 200 texts and 600 minutes for £22.50 per month. I want to get it cheaper, he said he'd give me a free phone obviously as an upgrade.
I want more texts...can anybody give me any advice/help on how to go about getting him to give me a better deal, or how to word it????

I doubt that you will get better. Just try for the best phone you can get.

Ok, i'm looking at the k800i, real nice...but i'll never get it with this contract... any ideas for a good phone i can push for (reasonable)

I got the O2 XDA Mini S on a free upgrade. Can't reccomend it highly enough.

are you on o2 online? I was wondering what to do...my contract is finishing in a month and I wasn't sure whether to call them up to see what they will offer me...I doubt it'll be anything like what they offered me last year!
how about an N70? or an N80 though it's unlikely they'll give you that..

Push for an n80 as there kickass phone with an total amazing screen, but i doubt you'll get it free!
On the tariff point, my sis was on 500 offpeak + 500 text for £25, shes pushed a tiny wee bit and got it to 125 anytime + 750 text for £25 which suits her needs alot more so push as far as you can!

I am on Online 400 and Online 100 and have been offered N91 at a ridiculous price and the XDA Mini S. So will get them in June.
Really chuffed about the XDA Mini S.
I found you can push them if you get the right person on the end of the phone.

Ok Cheers bud, i'm definatlly going to try for more texts, i'll try about 250 mins, 750 texts, an N80, don't mind paying a small amount but not wasting the money on the model of phone...
