When I recive some new sms after reading it, the phone shows sms memory 95% full. I have 76 items in inbox and 60 in sent mesages. in sent items or drafts i have 0 (zero) items. Does the phone memory has influence in this or the phone has limited amount of memory for SMS?

try deleting some messages, then you wont get the 95% full message |

@figurt
I figured that myself, but i don't want to delete one by one mesages, because i want to save some of them. Especially it makes me nervos that i have one of the more expensive models (high class), and have problem with SMS memory. When i had N3660 it was the basic symbian i had no such problem.
Does anyone know how much memory is exactly reserved for SMS? |

Yes you can have around 212 messages total on the memory of a K750i.
This is based on each text message being no more than 160 characters each.
They can be spread amongst the Inbox, Drafts, Sent and Outbox.
The reason that you have less than this is because I bet some of your individual text messages are more than 160 characters in length.
So if you have a text message that is 180 characters, then that is the equivalent of having TWO text messages in the memory.
The best thing to do is to archive some of your text messages on a PC using My Phone Explorer.

k750 has an internal sms capacity of 200 messages. i think if one message is actually composed of 2 or 3 messages, the capacity will be used accordingly. so i guess you have long messages stored, that's why even if total count is just less than 160, you've already reached 95% capacity. |

Thanks for the express reply. That was very usefull. I'have backup of them on the PC, but it's a shame to be ocupied with deleting messages, when you have a memory of 1GB. SE does make some mistakes, unfortunately. |

on the v800 you can mark your sms messages and then move them.
so if you have a few you want to save, mark them then move them.
then the remaining texts in your inbox you can just delete by emptying the folder |

You could of course use Da Vinci to expand the SMS capacity.
I believe their new client has this option, although naturally it would require one credit.

Yes Davinci does increase capacity but you'll need to save messages first as it will delete all messages on the phone when you update. You could also flash your phone to W800 software and get the Walkman player (1 Davinci credit will do both if you check the relevant options).

You can archive txt messages using MyPhoneExplorer.
Most A100 phones can store 1000 txt messages; the most I've had is 800.
A200 phones can store txt messages on the memory card.
