i just upgraded my t39 software and i found out some weird things about it. some of the submenus are displayed in large font always even if i try to change it to small or medium. these are all submenus that list the phonebook and all with "Add ___?" (Add new?, Add account?, etc.) submenus. the all message lists (inbox, sent, etc.) for SMS and email are likewise always displayed in large fonts. even the hidden snake game is displayed with some extra pixels activated at the bottom of the screen. it is however cleared once the game is started. these seem to be a backward thing in terms of enhancements are concerned.

do you guys experience these with your fones?

I don't seem to have this problem with the menus in R2A. Exactly which menus are you talking about?

The snake game does have some extra pixels at the bottom of the screen, but the graphics do seem to be better, and it is a hidden extra, so I don't think you can expect too much!

yes, it is true that the hidden game is only an extra. but doesn't it suppose to be better since it's an upgrade? anyways, that doesn't bother me much. the software ver on my phone is R3A022. no matter what the text size setting is, these ff menus are always displayed in large fonts:
1. all that list the phonebook like
"Call list"
"Call contact"
"Edit contact"
"Send contact"
"Position list"
"Use as my own", etc.
2. "SOS numbers"
3. "Call from SIM"
4. all that have "Add __?" like
"Groups"
"Edit Account" (E-mail options)
"Data accounts" (Data comm.), etc.
5. SMS
"Inbox"
"Unsent"
"Templates"
"Sent Items"
"Reply"
6. E-mail
"Inbox"
"Outbox"
"Drafts"
"Archive"

Tebra,
do you mean that all the menus are displayed in the text size setting you configured, like small if configured as small?

thanks for the reply.

zygar,
If your phone features "Chineese" (or non western alphabet in language options), some options will always have large fonts. Even if you have choosen English.
This just happened to me when I bought my second T68 in Singapore. In order to solve your "problem" you will have to do a new upgrade with other language options.

zygar,
Well... non-western... guess it's called Mandarin or something? Upgrade your phone with only western language options. Eg. English and Scandinavian languages.
Don't be foled by the Ericsson Service Point if they say it won't work... it does.
