I guess the main difference is that the 8850 is dual band using 900 & 1800mhz whereas the 8890 is dual band using 900 & 1900mhz

Cool thanks guys, iv looked on google but i cant find anywhere that says which uk network operates on what band.

8850 and 8890 will work on all uk networks, i used to have an 8890 and used it on voda

8890 works on voda and o2 only mate. 8850 all networks pal.
