I know this has been brought up countless times but i was wondering would it be ok if i was to take the front of my k700i off. I dont mean the case, i mean the actual bit where the screen and the buttons are. it looks like if i unscrew 4 screws it will come off and i might be able to clean the joystick

thanks

Sad to say, but it's only a temporary solution.
you should replace it.
mine is 1,5 years old, and the joy had been replaced once in warranty, then cleaned twice. cleaning helped a bit, but it was far from perfect.
finally i payed for the replacement, and now its perfect.

I do not know what happends to the warranty if you open the phone. But if the warranty is still on then it is easiest to take the phone to repair center. Let them professionals mess whit the phone.

All i do is just pucker up me lips wrap them round the joystick area try and get a good seal and suck in fast and hard like your a cheap whore....lol sounds strange but believe me it works. Just means you get to breath in all them particles of dust and dead skin that where once blocking the connections!!!

I have one of those cleaning cloths in my desk draw, good for cleaning phone screen and I keep a cheap toothbrush (unused of course) for cleaning around the joystick.
