Quick question.
I've got an N70 on T-Mobile which was insured, similar to what happened with KK's 8800, as my girlfriend was getting out of the car she dropped it on the high street it rolled and was driven over by a BMW 6 Series *cries*
Well, it's not built to be driven over like the 8800 lets put it that way, completely shattered. Anyway, salvaged the sim and left the phone where it was. (was a busy day and didn't want to stop traffic )
It was only until now that I realized that I had it insured. So my question is, if I call them up (Phone Safe) and explain, do you think they'll send me another one out or will they ask me to send them the broken bits first?
I don't know what to tell them on the phone.
Yes they cover accidental damage, but I want to know how to speak, what to say, what not to say so they don't smack me.

It's a shame you didn't pick it up, the mainboard may still have been salvageable! I'd have had it off you if there was still life in it.
I'm not sure if they'd want you to send them the broken phone, they'd blacklist it's imei though. That's one thing they may want possibly is the phone's imei, though I'd imagine they would have that on file somewhere.

when the phone dropped the back fell open, battery and sim popped out, phone continued sliding. That's why the phone was totally annihalated, there was no back so when the car drove over it there was no support at all.
At the time I just thought f*** it. It was scratched up anyway. I never take insurancen and totally forgot about this.
Either way it's gone, so if I can get a replacement, awesome, if not, oh well.

ok wot you need to do, is change the whole scenario. just say that you were joggin near the river and the phone slipped either out of your hand or out of the pocket and went into the river.
simple!!
they can't expect you to get it out of the river now can they? well thats wot id say. |

Except they'd wonder how you got the sim out but not the phone!
