Whenever i import songs onto my phone the walkman software sorts the tracks back to front on the albums, no matter how i try to sort the playlists the tracks never play in the right order.

Anyone know how to stop this, i use winamp to encode the tracks to mp4 format and copy using a card reader.

I just got a w810i but have been encoding files for a while for use with my IPAQ PDA. I generally use EAC plus LAME to encode and name the files as follows:

. () -

e.g.

01. Depeche Mode (Playing the Angel) - A Pain that I'm Used To.mp3

I have copied these using the card reader and they seem to be in the correct order when creating a playlist (when manually selecting the files). I have dumped each album in a subfolder under the MP3 folder of the card to make creating the list easier. I suspect if the name tag contained the track number as well as the track name I could simply mark the folder as the walkman player seems to simply sort items on track name when selecting a folder (ignoring the track number).

YMMV

I had this problem on my K750. I'm not certain how different the media player is for you, but I worked around this problem by arranging the files on the computer in reverse order, then copying them to the phone (thus the phone receives them in the correct order - if that makes any sense).

A bit of an annoying way of dealing with this, however!

It's a pain in the w800 too. I thought the phone ordered tracks in the copied order. Mind you, it may even be by the file created date. I've still not managed to get my Pink Floyd album to play properly!

R.e. W810i (and W800 too?) not listing Albums in the correct order once imported....

I've found that if you create a new Playlist and then add the album via Add Media (Click to 'Mark' the Album, then click 'More', then 'Add') You'll find that it adds all the tracks of the album to the Playlist in the correct order. Ok, you have to create playlists for each of your albums, but this is the quickest way I've found of listing albums in the correct way without having to re-import all the tracks to your phone in reverse order...

Ok so I've never owned an MP3 player before. My W810 is the first and I'm loving it. However, I've noticed that when I transfer a CD that is a solid-no breaks-mix, well it seperates the tracks during playback with a pause in between. WTF?

Is this normal in all players?

it is with the walkman phones mate. Happened on my w810 and k750, really annoying as all my music is mixed. You cant change it to play continuously i dont think!!!
