From what I've seen so far from the ones in shops, most LCD TVs apart from the expensive high end ones seem to have rubbish pictures, which is why when we bought a new TV a few months ago we bought a Sony CRT one. I'd say go for a CRT telly if space is not a problem, or I'm afraid you may have to put up with a picture quality that is worse than what you may be used to.
Though of course I may be wrong, do say if you have found a decent quality inexpensive LCD TV for Anuj!

Sony Bravia is a great HD widescreen 19" LCD. Great quality, and native 720p res. Pricey tho.

LG make some excellent LCD tv's overlook them at your loss as they are great quality for a good price. Sony are excellent quality but vastly overpriced. I don't really know much about any specific models in the size range you are interested in so can't recomend a specific model sorry. Best bet is to go to your nearest large currys/comet/dixons and look at the models first-hand and ask for advice. Then note the model number and come home and buy it online for loads less! |
