As we all no, there are lots of pressure from the EU for the networks to drop the prices in the calls,
Well Orange have done it again, yes from the EU it will cost you no different in any prices if your on Contract, the only thing that has gone down is the cost of GPRS which is now £8 no per mb no matter where you are in the world.
However Orange are still the dearest on Picture messaging, 60p for a mms under 50kb and 75p for over 50kb. (This is the dearest network in the UK)
Calls are now charged in 1 min increments.
So orignal I beleive a Greek to UK call for 1 min 30 secs would have cost you £1.05.
Now you for the same call you will be charged £1.40 so thats a increase.
Taking your phone to the USA will now cost you a further 5p more to received a call.
And will cost you 5p more to text, so this is now 15% more expensive.
Oh and sendin a Picture message from the usa will sey you back a whopping £1.00 to £1.50.
Not bad when the other networks charge about 50p or less.
What about going on holiday in Jamaica.
Well the call will now set you back £1.75 per min instead of £1.35 and Text have gone up to 50p per message from 35p per messgae.
So welcome to the future, You pat more for less.
Value you for money (Not)!!

Why do you always seem to tarnish Orange's image? I've been with orange with at least 4 years now, from PAYG switching to contract. I've never experienced any bad customer service and have quite a good offer from them, so all is good. It's all about choice and experience, i choose to be with them although charges may seem high but I do not mind one bit for cracking customer service when and if I need help.
Maybe it's just your a bitter ex-employee or customer
cheers

Im not Tarnishing Oranges Image, there doing that them selves.
I don't work for orange and I can say Im not bitter at Orange.
But what this is highlightening is that Orange say they have revamped the Internation Tarriffs and they give better value when they don't.
So you tell me who Tarnished that, I can only go from information on the internet.
I am with Orange and have been for the last 7 years. There network is excellent for me and always has, I expect some high levels in customer care, and not to be fobbed of. I pride my self in customer care in what i do and they way that i sometimes get spoke to is poor. But it isnt just me saying this.
Orange hasnt won there top customer care award in th last few years, Infact virgin has.
Orange treat the PAYG customers better than contract,
Orange care on PAYG is £50 for the Year, on Contract its £60 per the year for the same service, tell me which one is fair?
There hasnt been a nice word about these new animal Tarrifs in the media, In the Industry, on the internet. So tell me who Tarnished that. I didnt come up with the Idea? I wasnt even in the survey,
Orange are now planning to scrap there animals, so tell me why? There not value for money, They arent selling.
Why did they loose out on 30% of th Contract last month? I dont know but some body does?
Im proud to have a Orange Badge, Always have been, but what seems to be coming out from them at the moment isnt good
Do you like paying 1p per delivery report. Do you want a increase in costs for something thats always been there and the cost in the industry has gone down.
Even there own staff say Orange dont listen to us any more, They do what ever they want.
Any way Rant over.
If you want to tell me a good point what orange have done in the last year then please do. Im not all bad.
I will praise them!
But even reading on here, people are just fed up of them. So i dont think its just me.

If you're so disappointed with everything Orange, as you certainly seem to be with the zest with which you are creating threads criticising them, perhaps you would be better by served by.....moving to a different network...?
I agree Orange's Animal Tariffs are a joke, but I think the point has now been done to death and, more importantly, I am sure Orange will be able to work it out for themselves when the latest quarter's subscription figures are released!
edit: Sorry, probably should have posted this in darren's other thread, although the point is essentially the same.

As i've said its a matter of choice, you choose what network you want. At the end of the day the big wigs at Orange are somewhat unorthadox but they are going in the right direction in terms of making tarrifs simple for the massess. But the animal thing was completely stupid I agree as for the charges? Like it or lump it, if you dont like it move onto another network as dave_uk has said
