i lost my 2-month old 550i. is there a way to block the handset so that nobody uses the phone later on??? i have enquired wid the SE service center here in delhi. but they told me that it cant be done.

Call your service provider (network), tell them what's happened and get them to block it. You'll have to give them your imei number to do this if you still have the box

I wasn't sure that India had phone barring yet but a quick google seems to confirm that it does
